a festival of love

Yarralumla Woolshed, Canberra

Welcome to Laura and Pete’s festival of love. It was an alternative wedding held at the Yarraluma Woolshed, that celebrated love, community and glitter. It contained touching nods to the past, unbridled enthusiasm for the now, and dreams for the future.

The festival featured a wonderful pastel vintage dress, a bridegroom draped with panache, an improvised ceremony (which commenced with a home movie, and ended with a group singalong), a glow-stick toss (rather than bouquet), and shapes that were cut in another dimension on the dance floor.

From the beginning it was abundantly clear that Laura and Pete had a clear vision for how they wanted to celebrate their love, and what was most important to them. We are so damn happy we could be there to help celebrate and document this chapter of their story.

Don’t miss the group ‘heel and toe polka’ (rather than traditional first dance), which pays homage to where Laura and Pete’s romance begun, at the O Week Barn Dance a decade earlier.
